Rolex Submariner 16618 with Ultra Rare Onyx Dial
We love rare watches, but we live for the super rare ones. The 1997 Rolex Submariner 16618 with an Onyx dial slides into that category beautifully. These are not the types of dials manufactured in droves, but a dial so fragile and complicated that it could only be manufactured by hand. During Rolex’s production of these watches only 2 in 10 dials would make it past the inspectors, something surreal for Rolex standards. Staring at the dial in person is simply stunning. A quick way to determine an Onyx authenticity is to look for a small golden frame surrounding the date function. Needless to say our 16618 is in mint conditions with a crisp 18K yellow gold case and bracelet.
